How messaging works
1. Before you meet
RSVP and coordinate in the event thread. No phone numbers in profiles until trust is established.
2. After check-in
Hosts can mark the meetup started; mutual attendees unlock 1:1 DMs — still in-app, still reportable.
3. Off-app
Exchange WhatsApp if you both want to — never required. Keep coordination in-app until then.
Exact meetup locations stay in the event thread after RSVP — not on public listings.
